Only discovered in 1994, Chauvet cave houses some of the best preserved, most interesting and oldest cave art we know of. Some of this art is obviously from life, but some of this art… Namely therianthropes, geometry and other tid-bits appear to be a result of hte Visionary State. These pieces of art are in pitch-black recesses deep in the cave. One wonders how, and why…..
